Hello,

I have a simple PAL timeline in PP. I want to export to encore CS6. MPEG2 DVD or H.264?. I know its common sense to export MPEG2 DVD from AME, but I find videos look washed out when using MPEG2 over h.264 Is this only a gamma shift with quicktime or will colours look find when viewed on a TV?

(MPEG2 looks washed out on QT, but H.264 does not)

H.264

MPEG2

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply.

Will there be any gamma shifts between PP and Encore - DVD?

If so, how do I avoid this?

It is well-documented on the various forums that QT player has gamma issues, I would not trust it. Anyway, MPEG-2 DVD is the ONLY option for DVD, so just go with it.
