Often in this edit I am growing and shrinking tracks to line up audio, etc. is there a way to reset the view so that all tracks are minimized and I can see the whole timeline. A keyboard shortcut that is the equivalent of growing the vertical scroll bars to their full height (at the right of the audio and video portions)?

thanks
chapman

The "+" and "-" keys zoom in and out. There may possibly be another key that jumps to full view, but I'm not big on shortcuts, sorry.

Thanks

Yeah - I'm a new user and that's an instinctive thing I wanted to be able to do.
+/- works well (as a photoshop user, I found myself using OPTION-mouse wheel scroll --- it's slick) but "double clicking" or maybe you have to create a hot key to "widest zoom view"

Looking forward to any answers to follow!

1. Open the KB shortcuts dialogue box.
2. Type "Zoom" in the search box.
3. Assign a key to "Zoom To Sequence".

NB: Mine is the "<>" key which is to be found above the Windows key on my keyboard.

Thanks Robert. That is 50% of what I need. A lot of times I get in the nitty gritty of the audio edit and am zoomed in there. While this command "zoom to sequence" does handle the horizontal zoom, I was wondering if there is anything that also handles the vertical zoom, so that I have an instant view of every event.

thanks

Minimize all tracks: shift + - (shift + minus)
Expand all tracks: shift + =
