Trimming problem with multiple tracks

New to PrePro, coming from Avid.
So it's one of those, "how do you do this in thing that I know how to do in Avid?"

So, I've got 6 tracks—3 video and 3 audio.

V1 is interview
v2 is broll
v3 is overlay
a1 is person 1 audio
a2 is person 2 audio
a3 is music

So I'm in the middle of timeline and I want to tweak/trim a1 and v1.
The problem is that not every track is filled at that point in the timeline.
So when I ripple delete a section, the tracks with nothing in it at that point don't ripple down—they stay where they are and they're out of sync.

If I put some dummy footage and audio in that spot, I'm able to get every track to ripple down—but that's a huge pain. In Avid, there are no "blank" spaces in the timeline, so everything shifts down and stays in sync.

I'm sure it's something dumb.
Can anyone tell me what to do here—without having to add "dummy" footage in the spot I'm trimming???

Use the track select tool (“a” on keyboard). Shift+click and drag on the clip after the gap and all video/audio clips that follow will move with it. You can also just click and drag in the timeline to box select multiple clips. Having snapping on is also helpful for aligning clips this way(“s” will toggle snapping on/off).
