Dragging Video Footage to Match Sequence & Export Match Sequence, does that distort the file in any way from the original file?

I just want to trim down a huge file into its separate files and then be able to use them in another project.

Thanks!

It does not distort or damage the original file in any way. Premiere only reads the original file then adds whatever adjustments you've made to it in the program. You can export the clips from your timeline to use in another project or import the project to another.
