Hi,

Can someone help, this is my first project I have been asked to submit for broadcast and I am struggling with the audio requirements. I have been asked to supple an MXF with XDCAM 422 codex with 8 channels of audio. 2 Mono mix, 2 Dolby 5.1, dialogue only Dolby 5.1 music and effects Dolby 5.1, mono mix dialogue only and a mono mix music and effects. I am racking my brain trying to figure out how to export 8 channels of audio like that. Is it even possible to export 4 channels Mono and 4 channels 5.1 in the same MXF wrap??

Thanks in advance

Olly

XDCAM HD 422 only supports 8 tracks. With that requirement you would need 28 tracks? I'll have what they're smoking.

You might be able to do this in a Quicktime format. Can you post the exact wording of the specs you were given?
