PP5.5 Effect Control detail question
on Jul 23, 2011 at 7:04:08 pm

... new to PP after years with Sony Vegas Pro... Please advise.

The universal control for Effects Controls adjustment is a slider with a corresponding numeric input option. This works. But fine adjustment by manually incrementing with the numeric input is of course very slow and moving the slider with a mouse if very imprecise.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to move the slider or increment/decrement the numeric input?

Sony Vegas Pro allows use of the keyboard arrow keys and a double-click on the control returns the value to the default. Very quick and precise.

I did not see a PP keyboard shortcut option for these input controls.

Thanks,
Mike

All effects have a reset button.
Its the little arrow the goes anti clock wise.
Hoover your mouse over it and see that it says: reset.
If you hold the ctrl while scrubbing only the numbers after the comma change.
If you hold the shift the 10, 20 etc will change.
Hope that makes sence, English is not my native language.

Thank you. That is a big help. And, yes, I see the master reset button which resets all the values for that effect.

It would be helpful if there was a way to reset the value for the ONE parameter that is of interest, without resetting all of the others.

For example, the 3-Way Color Corrector has about a dozen parameters. One may have carefully set various values and want to reset just one. But the only option is to reset all of them, if I understand it properly.

Thanks again for your help!
Mike

No button for just one parameter.
You could write the values down and use reset or Ctrl+Z for step back.
