Hello,
I am editing small projects with GH4 4k footage in Premiere Pro CS6 on the system with specs listed below. I am sometimes getting lag on playback of the clips both in preview and timeline. I've tried various ways to improve it, but nothing has helped and I think I need to upgrade my system. I am wondering what I should be looking at upgrading first in order to most improve my performance. I don't have a huge budget, but I was thinking of adding an ssd. Any input would be appreciated.

You're trying to cut 4K - probably highly compressed - on a laptop with just an internal hard drive? You need an external array on a FAST connection, or get used to the aggravation.
