I've seen more than one article explaining all of the tools in Premiere Pro and they all say that to select all of the clips in a track you should use the forward select tool and click in the track of clips you want to select, but when I use it, it selects all of the clips in all of the tracks, including the audio tracks. Is this a bug in cc 2015 that hopefully will be fixed in cc 2016 or is that the way it's supposed to work? The same thing happens when I use backward select tool.

Try deactivating the unwanted tracks before you select.

Thanks, Dave. Doesn't seem to negate the point of the select forward tool? It's easier to click to the right of the tracks and drag to the left and select all the clips than to have to lock all the other tracks, then choose the select forward tool. Or am I misunderstanding what you mean by deactivating the unwanted tracks?

Hey, gimme a break! I just started farting around with PP on Monday. That suggestion was just speculation. I'm still learning just the basic keyboard shortcuts.

I'm in NO shape to do any serious work on PP... especially when the whole shop here is Avid in various versions.

Oh, ok. He's AE. I know I've seen him around for years. Sorry, Dave! Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get the hang of Premiere Pro. Eventually ;-)
