When I'm recording a screencast, I know when I screwed up. Ideally, during the recording session, I could hit some key combination that would discard (or earmark for discard) a segment of the video. It's very easy to do this during recording, but it's time consuming to find the good bits of the session when all I have to go off is an audio waveform. Then I have to manually listen to it all, cut out the bad stuff, etc. It just takes so much time when in theory, with the right tools, it would take almost no time.
A tool that would let me decide on the fly which segments to discard and which to keep would basically eliminate 90% of my editing. Does anyone know of a tool like that?
