Is there any utilities that will export a sequence clip list or something that would tell me where a clip is being used as well as timecode?
Working with a lot of files shot with a DSLR and its not as easy as my RED workflow.

You could export an EDL - Edit Decision List.

Exported both EDL and XML but its a mess to deal with.
If I had some XML coding knowledge Im sure I can sift through it but was hoping for an Utility of some sort.

Found on helpful option in Project window.
Turned on Video Usage and it allows me to see the clips sequence use.
Thats helpful but again a nice text file would be best.

Hi Eric,

I recently pushed out a lot of subclips into a spreadsheet. I'm also not really XML-literate, so I imported Premiere's XML export into FCP7, then used the batch list export options to get a simpler text list. A bit of text bashing and it was spreadsheeted neatly. I realise this will be useless if you don't have FCP7/Mac. In that case, send me a trimmed project as an XML export and I'll sent it back in text.

(Edit: I'm in South Africa / GMT+2, so depending on where you are this might take a little time to round-trip.)

A pleasure! FCP is very civilised in what it exports: you can hide and re-order the metadata columns for a neat custom export for less text-bashing down the line...

I work mostly in RED and love the export options from REDCINE-X.
