Steven AustinPPCC no sound on timeline

My first PPCC gig... I'm working on a doc which has two cameras on each subject. I multi-clipped everything.

Then I made a primary sequence for the main subject speaking. Let's call that "A."

Next, I made a bunch of other sequences with sound bytes of other subjects ("B," "C," etc.) All week I've been cutting sound bytes from B,C, etc. INTO my primary interview. No problems.

Suddenly, a few hours ago the B/C bytes just stopped playing their soundtracks ---> IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLIP. <---- Very frustrating! All multi-cam clips play fine in the preview window.

Here's what I tried:

- Making sure all audio tracks are unmuted. (Which they'd have to be. I can hear the clips until they drop out.)
- Relinking the clips from the project bin. The "Link Media" drop-down option is greyed out. Can't re-link.
- Rendering the whole timeline. (Nothing to render, as far as I can tell.)
- Renaming the project, rebooting the Mac. This doesn't help.

Being new to PPCC I'm not sure if it has preferences that can be trashed as my previous NLE (FCP7) had.
Thanks in advance for your input.
