low-level exception importer avi problem
on Oct 28, 2015 at 11:32:07 am

Hello.

I have a problem with my Premire Pro CC 2015 2.9.0.2 version.
So yesterday when I started Premire it was browsing media and than showed me error notification(on the image).
And it freezes browsing. Now I cant import any new files because it crashes the program.

I had this error before, but never in this way that it freezes browsing.

I work with avi files and Premiere doesnt see its audio, so I have to use VirtualDub for it.

I understand that I have some Premiere codecs missing but have no idea how to find out which one.

Please help.

Likely the problem is that they are AVI Files.

AVI Files are terrible Files to work with and many of them just don’t play nice with anything. Try Transcoding them with Handbrake or Media Encoder before editing.

"MY MEDIA/PROJECT MOTTO: If you think three copies of your Media or Projects are enough. Take a moment to place a value on them and then maybe add two more.
Hard Drives are now stupidly cheap. A RE-SHOOT AND YOUR TIME AREN'T."
