I stupidly installed the latest OSX, and lost/overwrote several wav files of a few Premiere CC 2015 projects. The hard disk was fairly empty and I managed to recover many wav's with an undelete application. However, all recovered files are now customly named FILE001.wav etc. I've recovered them all on a different HDD.
Assuming the files are intact, can Premiere intelligently re-link these files which now have a completely different filename or is it a lost cause? I can't really trial & error, they're too many. Thanks a lot...
I quickly tried Link Media and it seems I can manually relink any offline clip to any wav file - it accepted my first file000.wav but this surely seems wrong?
