Hi from 19 degrees C sunny York Uk :-)

Ok I have just had a serious WTF moment with after effects and Premiere Pro CC. I'd finally cracked the dynamic like process thanks to help of this forum using this workflow:

Dynamic link > Replace with after effects comp. This worked like a dream, with both CC versions open side by side I could add text animation no problem but...

This morning I spotted a typo so I thought no problem i'll make the change in after effects (dynamically linked) and the change would appear in Premiere pro, no reason to doubt this as yesterday I'd been working like that all day and no problems but today the dam changes would not pass through, serious WTF!

In my rage I Googled to death the problem and subsequently cleared the cache, 2 hrs later I still cant get the damn linked Ae animation changes to appear in Pr CC when yesterday no problems.

So my question is please... "What are the top reasons why dynamically linked content (using the Dynamic link > Replace with after effects comp.) method suddenly stops working? (makes me soooo mad!)

Thanks in advance,
David

Hi....

How did you get to the comp today?

did you launch from AE or the AE project, or did you launch it from PPro?

You still saved the corrected AE project under the same name/location and didn't rename or duplicate the comp in AE in any way?

It sounds like the comp may have changed status somehow, breaking the link...

Honestly I can't remember, but what do know is one day everything ok the next, got damn! So time consuming and frustrating. Are you suggesting the order in which I open the packages is important? If so what's the best order.
Thanks,
David

either way...you should not have had to rebuild it...

the AE project still exists on your drive, right?

so then make the change and reimport it to Ppro...drop on timeline..

you should't have to start from scratch....
