Premiere pro exporting limit
by Berty Goldstein on May 8, 2015 at 2:21:06 am
Hi, its a pretty simple problem. Whenever I export from premiere as a regular compressed .AVI, it stops once the finished video has hit about 4.1 GB in size. This happens everytime. I get an error message saying that "the disk is full" which is completely untrue.
If it helps, I am downgrading he footage from 1080p to 480p. It works fine however when exporting uncompressed .AVIs, but those files are enormous. Thanks!

Sounds like you are hitting the 4Gb file size limitation of hard drives formatted as FAT32. I believe you can reformat to another file system such as NTFS, but I don't have a Windows machine here any longer on which to confirm that.
FYI, if you do choose to reformat, be sure to copy or move all files on the drive first.
