Hello,

I work for a small post house. We have 3 iMacs that run Premiere Pro CC 2014 and connected to a Terrablock via lighting fiber/breakout box. Every time the editor is using Premiere, the mac os will crash. We reach out to Apple about this problem and they can not figure whats wrong with the macs.

Here are the specs of the iMacs
27-inch, Late 2013
3.5 GHz Intel Core i&
32GB Memory
NVIDIA GeForce GTX
OS X 10.9.5

Thank you

Daniel Arena

Some suggestions:

1 - make sure you're on the latest Premiere Pro (8.2)
2 - turn off GPU temporarily and see if that helps
3 - clear/clean your media cache (preferences)
4 - trash your preferences - trash preferences
5 - try a project on local storage - does the crashing stop? If yes, then look at your terrablock or network throughput.
6 - start over - clean reinstall
7 - Contact Adobe support via online forums/help and they will ask you for crash logs which will help zero in on your specific problem

Hope this helps,
Dennis - Adobe guy

Also, check your permissions:

My system will give me graphic glitches and occasionally shut down if I'm running lots of GPU intensive operations. It's an on going CUDA problem. Here's a long thread about it:

[Bob Pierce] "It's an on going CUDA problem."

There are some issues with it and while I generally recommend upgrading to the newest release, I would say that if you have a CUDA driver that is working with your system, stay with it for a while.

Well its not Premiere. The OS just froze when I'm using Final Cut Pro 7. The CPU temp was at 144 fahrenheit. The iMac is disconnected from the Black Magic Mini Monitor and Terrablock.
