Hello Community,

the following issue is driving me nuts:

I'm authoring a DVD project. Each chaptermarker needs to be set at a defined point.
All of the chaptermarkers have been set and labeld in PremiereCC.2014.

According to this post --> link

" If you put a timeline marker where you want a chapter, and then put a name into the Chapter field of the marker's properties, when you export the file as an MPEG, Premiere Pro will put GOP headers at the markers, and will also include an .XMPSES file in the same directory that tells Encore to automatically place chapter markers at that point."

The whole Premiere sequenz was given to AME and converted into mpeg2DVD files (audio + video).
After improting them into Encore all of the chaptermarkers have been shifted to the next GOP.

I have no idea what went wrong?!?
Well, the workflow dosen't seem so difficult...

1. Set a marker in your timeline
2. Open maker propperties
3. Choose chaptermarker
4. Fillout the "NAME" field.

5. export and convert your movie via AME whith DVD specs
6. import as "asset" into your Encoreproject

On more thing: AME does not put out a .XMPSES file, it's a .xmp file. But that's the only difference I noticed.

Additional Infomation:

Mac Pro
Adobe CC2014

Video Data:
IMX50 file form XDCAM-Disc
Video will be convertet into:
PAL 25 Frames Interlaced Wiedescren,
DVD mpeg2 8Mbit CBR

[Oliver Zimmermann] "I have no idea what went wrong?!? "

You need to check the "automatic GOP placement"-setting.

Hello Tero,

thanks for your advise.
Unfotunately I' can't find this setting in AME for MPEG2DVD - Format.
There are only GOP-settings for N- and M-frames lenght in the videotab for MPEG2 DVD. Choosing MPEG2 (without DVD) will allow me to check "automatc gop placement". But there are lots of settings I know nothing about...
