mac mini specs

Just got an older mac mini to edit with Premiere Pro CC. Unfortunately the footage is bogged down, but I'm wondering whether more RAM will fix the issue or it's simply too slow / old a system to handle this. I'm editing RED R3D 5K at 1/16, but it still jogs a lot.

Current system:
mac Mini 2010 MC438LL/A
2 x 500gb HD
4GB RAM
2.66Ghz dual intel core
NVIDIA GeForce 320M

If it's just a matter of upgrading to 8Gb RAM, I'll do that ASAP. I just didn't want to spend the money on extra RAM if the general consensus is that it still won't be fast enough due to other factors.

Thanks so much.

Well there's your problem. Adding RAM won't help. You'll need a faster computer.
