GH4 footage to Cineform

Hi everyone.

I've been scratching my head. I've been running some tests. Since I'm a PC user, using CS6.

I figured I would try the cineform codec. But I've noticed that the playback is terrible in CS6. The original GH4 footage runs smoothly with no drop frames where as the Cineform codec is droping 100+ frames.

Basically I'm just looking for something to unwrap my 4k footage in a more digestible editing codec similar to prores but it seems that cineform is very bulky! If someone could maybe tell me why that a codec is praised to be a ProRes for PC isn't working for me.

Then I figured maybe it's a bad codec for playback but better for mastering. So I did a little test and exported the same clip H.264 1080p 10mbps, and Cineform High quality. The Cineform version had more blocking then the H.264....SAY WHAT?!

If someone can school me on this?!

I suggest downloading the Avid Codecs and using DNxHD if you want a good editing codec.
