CUDA / Mercury Not Available on iMac (CC 2014)

Hi all,

I'm having some trouble with Premiere CC 2014. I'm using a late 2012 iMac with a GeForce GT 650M gpu.
According to http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html, I should be able to run Mercury GPU / CUDA fine.

However, I can't.

The GpuSniffer returns * Not chosen because of insufficient video memory.

I tried doing the old modify 'cuda_supported_cards.txt' workaround, but the file doesn't exist in CC 2014.

Has anyone else experienced this, or know what's going on?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

[Kyle Rebar] "The GpuSniffer returns * Not chosen because of insufficient video memory."

Well your card doesn't seem to have enough VRAM so it won't work and you can't enable MPE.

Hi Kyle,

Zero may be right. I believe the 650M comes with either 512MB or 1GB of RAM. Do you know which model you have? Premiere supports GPU acceleration with a minimum of 786MB of ram under that you will be unable to use the Mercury Playback Engine.
