Track select forward tool--multiple (but not all) tracks?
on Jan 13, 2015 at 8:08:41 pm

Hi all,
I want to select 3 of my 5 tracks with the Track Select Forward Tool. I can't for the life of me figure out how. I use the shift modifier to select just one track at a time, but can't seem to add to that selection.

Is this possible without doing a lasso?

Frankly, I'm pretty tired with the way track selection works in premiere. I'd far prefer the default be for the tool to select one track, then modifiers to alter that. Also, I wish clicking one clip and then shift-clicking another down the timeline would select everything in between. Seems like that'd be easy to implement.

Hi Justin,
I know. It's annoying that you can't do this currently. Please make a feature request here: http://adobe.ly/feature_request

The current workaround is to lock the tracks you do not want to select with the tool.

Thanks,
Kevin
