Analyze content missing?
on Dec 17, 2014 at 4:52:25 pm

I just updated Premiere Pro CC from 8.1 to 8.2 and noticed that the analyze content function seems to be missing. The Speech Analysis text window displays previously analyzed clips and follows the speaker like normal. Can somebody check to see if I'm the only person having this issue.

I have trashed preferences and repaired permissions so far.

Thanks for any help,
Bob

"the analyze content function" has been dropped from PPro going forward because it didn't improve as expected when it was first introduced.

Thank's for the info Robert.

This is not good for our workflow, I found it to be a huge time saver.

Hey Bob….

Check out Boris FX Soundbite.

I think this was based on a product called "Get" (phoneme based search)…

Thanks for the info Alex, that looks like a great product!

I just restored Premiere & Media Encoder CS from a system backup and that will get me by until CS stops working. I routinely get 8 plus hours of dialogue and have to find soundbytes buried in the middle of it without any time code reference so the analyze content function has been my best friend.

OH NO! This is tragic! It may not function perfectly (sometimes it's transcription can be amusing) but for me it's become a fantastic help. How many times do you need to find an "and" or "but" in an interview? Tremendously helpful for those little things.

Yeah, I think it's silly to jettison it entirely.
