Remote viewing of Premiere Sequences
on Oct 1, 2014 at 2:24:49 am

I am working on a low budget project with two producers who live in LA while I am in NYC.
We are looking to create a faster workflow for creating multiple 5 minute webisodes.
Currently our workflow is this -
I export a sequence, upload it to google drive, they give me adjustments and I repeat the process until approved. This has worked fine in the past but we are looking to improve our workflow.

What other options are there for remote access to the program monitor in Premiere Pro CC 2014?

We'll need audio playback as well.

I'm running a Macbook Pro w/ Retina.

Thanks!

We use Screenlight. Clients can give timecode based notes with markers in the clips. Been using that two years now. Clients love it because they can watch the videos on any device from any location and enter notes.

This seems like a great option to speed up our current workflow, but does this allow you to do screen sharing? This may be the best way to go, especially because they are only 5 minute videos which don't take that long to export and upload.

I've never personally tried it, but I know people that use a Slingbox for this purpose. I've never used a Slingbox, but making some assumptions based on only knowing the concept of them, I imagine you could take an HDMI out of an I/O device (BMD, AJA, etc) and feed your program out to the Slingbox, which they could then view in real time as you work, while talking over the phone to give notes.

You can use Skype Pro for screen sharing. I did it on a job a little while ago and it was pretty good. And you can chat to clients whilst viewing your work.
