Ingesting 4K footage into CS6?
on Jun 14, 2014 at 3:16:04 pm

I am going to borrow a Sony FDR-AX100 and can choose to shoot some footage in 1080p or 4K. I do not have a need for 4K right now, though if I shoot it in 4K I would edit it and downconvert it to 1080p so I could always go back to the master footage and re-export in the future at 4k.

1. Will CS6 ingest 4K footage from this camera?
2. Will I have any issues editing the footage and just exporting as h.264 1080p when I'm done?

Thanks.

CC supports XAVC but not CS6. You can use a 3rd party utility to convert such as the following:

There are also some free utilities out there.
