Have Nvidia quaddro pro 4000... How do I get premiere to enable the mercury hardware acceleration. It's giving me the "software only" message in the project settings...

thanks!

You may have to make sure Premiere is updated. Check for updates.

You didn't say what operating system you're using. If it's Mac OS Lion, see this:

Hey Ed... It works, until I restart the computer and then I have to install the cuda drivers again. Lots of people have been having this problem... You ever run into it?

Just to chime in I've got cs5.5 and a quadro 4000 running snow leopard. I have hardware acceleration with no issues after reboot.

Thanks for everyone's input. Yes this is a bizarre and mysterious problem. I've been checking other forums and a bunch of other people have the same issue, with no fixes. Everything is up to date and all that... it just turns off the CUDA acceleration when I reboot and I have to reinstall the drivers. I'll be completely clean installing my machine in a couple of months... maybe the problem will go away.
