making a box-shaped mask

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I just can't figure out how to do this --

I want to mask a layer in Premiere Pro that is a perfect rectangle shape. The only way I can see to do this is to create the 4-point polygon mask under Opacity in the Effect Controls panel. This gives me the desired effect, but I have to eyeball where I place the 4 points so that the lines are straight. Is there a way to just do this as a simple box so my lines will be perfect every time?

I'm not sure if this is the best way or will get what you want, but maybe you could use a crop filter. That way you can type the numbers in for right, left, top, and bottom, to make sure they match each other if that's what you want. However, you can't invert a crop filter, I don't think, so depending on what type of mask you're trying to do, that may not work, or you may have to put it on a white or black solid and mess around with the blend mode. I'm not an expert there so just throwing out some possibilities.

That's exactly what I was looking for -- thank you so much!

Use the guides as reference.
Start with a default rectangular.
