I've typically only used PPro for sticking video clips together and haven't had to bother with colour profiles etc. That said, I've recently created an image in Photoshop with a transparent background, exported as PNG and imported into Premiere, but the quality changes substantially.
On it's own, against the "default" no-video background, it looks blurry.
With a black video background or over a clip, it looks blurry and whites appear more prominent, like a lens flare (switching to "Screen" rectifies this somewhat).
The PNG image on it's own appears crisp, and it looks fine if I insert a black background via Photoshop.
I've tried changing colour profiles, from 16-bit to 8-bit, sRGB, but no luck.
