Stop motion

I just inherited a short (15 second) stop motion project that I need to knock out very quickly. It looks like the previous editor already pulled out the right frames for the stop motion, but I need to stretch the runtime of the sequence out to about three times its length.

My question is what the best method to use to accomplish that goal. I'm considering either duplicating the frames, or rendering out the sequence and then slowing it down. But if anyone has any other recommendations, I'm all ears.

As always, thanks in advance!

are you faking the look by lowering framerate or posterized time? you can either duplicate frames or optical flow make new frames. Slowing it down is just going to look like slowing down; either way you go, jerky or smooth.
