We normally use legacy titler (prefer not changing workspaces), but I've been looking into updating template projects with essential GFX titles as kinda waiting for Adobe to discontinue legacy titles at some point.
In our workflows we re-size a lot of content for mobile devices, so are always duplicating and changing sequences from 16x9 to other sizes (1x1, 4x5, 9x16). For legacy titles this isn't such an issue, but it seems that essential GFX titles resize if you change the sequence size, which is quite annoying.
Below are examples of what happens when the sequence is re-sized. I've added a legacy title on top of picture, and an essential GFX title on bottom.
Original 1920x1080 sequence.
1920x1080 sequence re-sized to 1080x1080
The Essential GFX title's font size is unchanged, but it's scale is being adjusted which breaks its size relative to the video layers, which is what we don't want. This doesn't happen to the legacy title though, as it's treated as the video layer is and basically just 'cropped' on sides.
So... is there around this re-sizing issue if using Essential GFX titles?
