Remove all cross dissolves

Is there a way to globally remove all instances of an effect, such as cross dissolve? This effect is not included in remove attributes.

Thanks in advance.

Joseph

Here is an odd workaround to remove a lot of cross dissolves at once:

I know of no other ways to do this other than manually, but maybe someone else can chime in.

Kevin,

Thanks for your clever solution and links...This approach will eliminate much of the work.

A welcome future feature in Premiere Pro, hopefully.

I Spoke too soon.

When selecting all clips, in the speed/duration remap menu the percentage and duration is grayed out. If only a few (less than 20 or so), then this solution works.

man that is another feature I miss from Final Cut 7. Being able to search "Cross Dissolve" and have it highlight all of em and just hit delete.

Back when I was a AE, having to prep spots for finish it was a real pain to have to comb through to make sure I didn't miss any fades before sending out the picture prep.

I guess it's time to submit a feature request on adobe's site

[Joseph Freeman III] "Is there a way to globally remove all instances of an effect, such as cross dissolve?"

Strangely enough there is a hardware solution:

https://palettegear.com/premiere-pro

Here's is a tutorial

If you order this with just a single "button" controller you can easily program this button to delete any/all transitions highlighted.

You would think that if an external controller can do this you should be able to do this with keystrokes, but you can't.

By the way, I have found that the other controller modules that Palette makes don't do anything you can't do by keyboard, so if interested just buy the single "button" controller.
