Multi cam audio issue
on Apr 15, 2019 at 12:45:17 am

I used PlurelEyes to sync 2 cam both with audio.
I made a mistake and kept the bad audio track.
To make matters worse I realized after the edit was done. (One hour show)

How can I replace the audio?

When I match frame of course it refers me me to the multi cam se with the bad audio track.

I was hoping I could Reveal the clips in Project and find the audio. But I can’t Reveal a clip in finder in a multi cam sequence....

And going back to PlurelEyes is not an option unfortunately (actually even if I could go back to it I don’t see how it would help since the project is edited. )

Thanks guys!

Duplicate your edit sequence.
Collapse your multicam clips so that you have regular clips again.
Match frame should bring you to your regular clips.

[Olivier Prudhomme] "I was hoping I could Reveal the clips in Project and find the audio. But I can’t Reveal a clip in finder in a multi cam sequence...."

You have to "open" the multicam clip (right click on the multicam in the browser window) which opens the multicam as a timeline sequence. From there you can reveal clip in finder and replace the audio, just as you would with any ordinary timeline.

Did you mean "sequence"?
THere aren't any "multicam clips"... Clips are indenpendant and I have dozens of clips in this multicam sequence.

[Olivier Prudhomme] "Did you mean "sequence"?"

Yes, I meant multicam sequence. Right click on that and open it in a timeline and you will have access to all of the audio sources.

talking about premiere pro?
Right clicking / open in timeline... opens the multicam sequence as a multicam...
Have you tested this before?

I use mutlicam on a daily basis and have been using Ppro for about 4 years, so yes I have tested it.

A multicam sequence is basically identical to a normal sequence in Ppro and is used like a nested sequence. One of the differences however is that it won't open in a timeline when you double click the sequence, you have to chose the option to "open in timeline" and then you will see all the original source clips laid out on tracks and you can replace/filter/move/add to those tracks like in any other timeline. Once the sequence is "opened" you can select any of the clips and chose to either "reveal" in the Ppro browser or in your computers finder by choosing the correct "reveal" command.

maybe it is because I didn't create it in Ppro... I imported xml from PlurelEyes, open the sequence and nested it, then enabled Multicam in the timeline.
I guess Ppro doesn't see it as Multicam sequence even though the icon looks like one...
