Here's a little tutorial I put together for remapping the "F" keys on the Tangent Wave:

This seems insanely useful. I haven't heard of this program before. Thank you!

Does it understand ALT-button wave combinations?

It does! Try hitting the alt key while you're in ControllerMate. The button will light up in the palette/devices window. You can use an "and" operator to use 2 buttons at the same time. Then pipe in into the keystroke. That was a bit more involved for the tutorial, but I can make more advanced ones if there's interest.

Hey Josh,

Thanks for the post. This process won't turn of the other Davinci assigned buttons on the wave panel - Is this right? So re-assigning already taken up keys will result in triggering your new macro and triggering what was already assigned in Davinci?

Cheers,

Marcus.

Remapping one key will not effect the others. It will only effect the key that you've modified.

Josh, is possible to move wave knobs from a page to other page?, for example, blur and saturation in the same page?

Thanks!!

I haven't seen a way to do that yet. But, if anyone at Tangent happens to be looking at this group, they might want to consider updating the "Panel Control Mapper" for use with Resolve. It currently works with Color 1.5:

Hi Josh,

I'm a little late on this post. But I'm having trouble with your tutorial but I seem to be the only one... Maybe I'm the only moron...

I'm running new macpro w/ mavericks...

I open controller mate and I see my wave in the devices list. However when I push buttons on my wave nothing lights up. When I click on my i have a few warning signs, one is... Button Group Building Block, the other is... Driver configuration...

I'm lost and don't quiote no what to do here.

Any help would be appreciated...

Ash!

Hey Ash,

I've avoided running mavericks on all of my systems, for now. I'm still running 10.8.5, so unfortunately, I can't test that out for you. Anyone else running controllermate on mavericks with any success?

Wow! This thread is going on 9 years old ☺

It's been several years since I've given this a try, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work. I still use controllermate on a daily basis, but mostly with an x-keys controller on MacOS 10.12.6.

I found that adding a second controller was more beneficial then trying to remap the keys on the Wave and offered many more options.

Hey josh, thank you for the instant reply! Do you have any idea why the wave 2 doesn‘t respond in controllermate? Is there a specific setting you have to turn on first?

I don’t recall anything special needed to see the wave 1. Back then, tangent didn’t require installing the “hub” app. It might be blocking access to controllermate.
