Imported XML From Premiere and Clips are More Contrasty
on Jul 10, 2019 at 10:53:37 pm

I just imported my XML into DaVinci from Premiere and all my clips are noticeably more contrasty than they were inside of Premiere. As a test I rendered out the Premiere timeline and imported that into DaVinci and it looks correct (like it did in Premiere). Thoughts on how to solve this? Thank you!

Best regards,

i'd check two things. premiere uses gamma 2.4 in its native viewer and resolve will default to video levels in import.

This is probably what you are talking about. I had to go into Clip Attributes for all the clips and change the Data Levels to 'Full'. Kind of a gotcha for a newb since you can't really tell Premiere on export or Davinci on import to map the image data a certain way. Thank you!
