Red footage color grade workflow

Hey All! I just completed editing an ad using the RAW 6k files I got. What do colorists prefer to work with file format wise? I know with Resolve there is some color space information advantage that comes with keeping the MASTER in the same RAW format but the producer said to give them a ProRes 4444 file. Is there any benefit/disadvantage to the ProRes over the RAW?

Cheers, HArrison

ProRes 4444 will give you 98% of the ability the REDCODE will.

I prefer to color correct the RAW files in Resolve. It requires less work on my part and looks great. But if they ask for ProRes 4444 it sounds like you don't have a choice.
