maintaining RAW settings accross Adobe programs

(Mac OS 10.9 - Adobe CS6)

I am somewhat of a newbie to Red 5k Raw workflow, so thanks for bearing with me.

I started using Premiere CS6 because of a Red 5K project I was hired to edit.
After making the cut, I brought the timeline over to AE CS6 via Dynamic Link. There, I wanted to do color correcting and masking. Once in AE, I opened the Interpret Footage option and did a primary color correction on the RED footage, acessing the RED raw adjustment settings, which are quite powerfull. Levels, color temperature, etc adjustment were made.
When it came to Secondary correction, I discovered the Colorista II plugin, whicih also works within Premiere, making the trip to AE unneeded. So I went back to Premiere and found that the RAW footage (not the AE replacement comp) did not keep the adjustments I made in AE... I thought that the RAW adjustments would save to the Metadata file and maintain cross-software...

Is there something I am missing? In AE do I need to Save to RMD within AE for it to maintain back in Premiere?
