Overlaying images in Epic
on Oct 14, 2014 at 10:00:57 pm

Hi there -

I have a project where I am un-archiving some 50 year old photos of an airplane factory. I have captured these old images in high res digital and would love to overlay those images to new footage of the same factory but in present day. The whole idea is to match them up perfectly from old pictures to present day video. Shot on sticks.

So, I am looking for a way to line up the shot and overlaying the old image and lowering the opacity down the 30% would be ideal. I called RED and they said there is no option and didn't offer a comparable solution.

Anyone?

I didnt read your post correct and now I have the same task in hand.

For me, I will setup my Scarlet dead on straight to a display and shoot the preview to use as a template on the set.

I need to match a floors angle from cam pov so I can CG a pair of sunglasses on the floor.

Ive done this many times in my old Canon XL days so this should be interesting.
