How do you calculate total footage running time from total file size of Red 5K footage?

Hi, Everyone.

I need to figure out how to calculate the resulting file size from transcoding 600GB of Red 5K footage to Avid DNxHD36. Is someone able to tell me how to make this sort of calculation? I am relatively new to Red file transcoding/management.

You can use the AJA Data Rate Calculator to figure out these conversions. Set the file size with the codec and the resolution used (all RED compressions and resolutions are there) to find the resulting duration. Then use the duration found and set the DNx resolution and compression desired to get the resulting file size.
