Adding a transition to multiple frames at one time

Is there a way to add a transition to a group of images in Vegas, in order to place that transition between every image on the timeline? The alternative is to do them each one by one, which would take quite a while...I tried highlighting all the images at once, but the transition still only applied itself between the first two images. Thanks.

Do you already have a basic dissolve between all the images?
If yes, then select all of the images by doing Ctrl+A and dropping the desired transition on the first image.
All subsequent transitions will now be the same as the first one.

I have Sony Vegas Pro 8 and I tried doing the same thing...
What worked for me is if I select a clip then shift select another clip to highlight a group of clips then drag a transition onto the selection.

is it possible to create a dissolve (or any other transition effect) for example between 100 clips in just a few clicks

Yes, you can have a dissolve added automaticly when you add events to the timeline (this settingi s made in the editing tab of the preferences window. Or you can use scripts (like excalibur or Ultimate S) to add the dissolve after the events were added to the timeline.
