Global Text Attributes?
on Jul 31, 2019 at 10:29:13 am

I've got multiple text events (sub-titles) on my timeline. How do I change font, color, positioning, etc to them all at once? If I save as a preset then the content of the text will change (be repeated). Is there any way around having to do this manually? Thx...

Hi John

As far as I know Vegasaur is the only tool that will do that ...and more.

These are just quick screen grabs to show some of the options available. (ticked boxes are not exactly right)
Vegasaur gives you the option of applying the changes to everything or not.

It's worth every penny.

Cheers !

Thanks for reminding me about Vegasaur. In the meantime I figured out a work-around: I created a preset that had only the attributes/text properties but with no text. Then I went to the unformatted text event and cut the text out. I loaded the preset then pasted back down the text and... voila! The text was now formatted. Yea!

Not so fast, Johnny. It looks like I still have to change the font; but color, shadow and location punch in.
