I have to deliver a project on USB only, so I was going to record in 1920x1080 50p and render out using the Vegas MainConcept MP4 1080p 25 PAL render templates and deliver it as an MP4.
My project setting is 1080p/50 (double PAL)
I can shoot in 1080/25p, but I get the jaggies when panning too fast, whereas I don't with 1080/50p. I can shoot in 1080/50i, but whilst the motion appears smoother, it lacks crispness that 50p offers.
I have seen YouTube videos saying only shoot 50p for footage you only intend to slow down, and by default I should stick to 25p, but then I get the jaggies when there is any significant motion in the shot.
What do you guys record in and deliver if USB or Internet is your only delivery means?
My system specs: Intel i7 7700k 4.20 GHz, GTX570, 16GB RAM, Gigabye Z170 HD3, Vegas Pro 13 (x64), Windows 10 x64 Pro, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, VASST Infiniticam 1.7, Neat Video Pro 2.6
If I'm going to render a delivery to online internet or to show on a flat screen, I shoot in 1080 60p (US) and delivery in 1080 60p. Most of my stuff has some kind of action scenes, which I think look smoother if shot and viewed at 60p (50p).
