Sony Vegas always saves an sfl file when it creates my .mov.
What is the purpose of this file?
Can I delete it?

.sfl files contain information about markers and regions.

Yes you can delete them. If Vegas needs them again (if you ever open the project again), she will create new .sfl files

sfl file contains media markers (or project markers after rendering) and Vegas WILL NOT rebuild them (unlike sfk, which stores audio peaks). So if you don't need media markers - you can safely remove them.
