Repeater : Control alpha of the copies only
on May 5, 2020 at 10:32:04 am

Hi,

I duplicate an object using the repeater. I need to control the opacity of the copies only.
I understand that end and start opacities give an interpolation on all the copies. So it is useless here.

What I did is :
1) duplicate my object obj1 to create obj2
2) Apply the repeater to obj2
3) control obj2 opacity

It is not convenient for if I need to edit obj1.

Any idea to make it more elegant ?

Thank you !

Nicolas, there are few things to clarify here:

1. Are you calling 'obj1' & 'obj2' as content objects inside the shape layer, or is it two different layers?
2. Do you want obj2 to have relatively different opacity from obj1? Meaning, if you adjust obj1, obj2 would update?

For simplicity, it would be easier if we speak actual 'opacity values' on objects. Cheers!
