How to move text layers based on their end of the layer?
on Dec 20, 2019 at 6:30:44 am

Hi, I'm new to AE expression. I wanted to move a text from position a to position b in a linear speed. Position b is locked to the final frame of a text layer and postion a is a set valuable based on Position value[0] and value[1]. Duration is 9.5 seconds before that final layer frame. I tried to write something like this but it's not working:

duration = 9.5; // Duration of animation in seconds
posa = [value[0]-300,value[1]+300]; // Start position
posb = [value[0],value[1]]; // End position
Math.round(linear(time,outPoint-duration,outPoint,posa,posb))

Try it like this.

duration = 9.5; // Duration of animation in seconds
posa = [value[0]-300,value[1]+300]; // Start position
posb = [value[0],value[1]]; // End position
linear(time,outPoint-duration,outPoint,posa,posb)
