Array piece can’t expand to more than 1 value

Looking for some help with an expression which isn’t working for me but I can’t figure out why.

I’m try to get a shape to be created between the position of three nulls.

However I keep getting this error:

"Array piece can’t expand to more than 1 value"

My understanding of this error is that something in square brackets is returning more values than it should. However the create paths expression should be looking for two values, an X and a Y, and my variables should be returning two values.

var a = thisComp.layer("Null31").transform.position;
var b = thisComp.layer("Null32").transform.position;
var c = thisComp.layer("Null33").transform.position;

createPath(points = [[a],[b],[c]], isClosed = true)
