After Effects - display each line of txt data for 1 second not 1 frame
on Sep 18, 2019 at 1:40:19 am

Can someone please help me with this expression please. I have a .txt file that contains a list data and have a expression i have copied from someone to be able to show each line of data from the text file. The text file is set up in the correct language and with this expression code it works and i can display each line of data every frame but i want this to change every second not every frame can someone please tell me how i would re write this expression to change it from frames to seconds so i can have each line of data on screen for 1 second not 1 frame. also ideally i would prefer to have my txt file not using java script language and just have a simple list of data that can be display each line every second. I hope this makes sense and someone can help

myPath = "/C/Temp/text_test.txt";
$.evalFile (myPath);
f = timeToFrames();
txt[Math.min(f,txt.length-1)]

myPath = "/C/Temp/text_test.txt";
$.evalFile (myPath);
f = timeToFrames();
txt[Math.min(f,txt.length-1)]

Probably like this (not tested):

myPath = "/C/Temp/text_test.txt";
$.evalFile (myPath);
t = Math.floor(time);
txt[Math.min(t,txt.length-1)]
