Adding 100% ease to this expression
on Nov 29, 2018 at 12:41:18 pm

Hi I'm using the below expression to control 2 keyframe positions on a simple A to B animation.

Once the expression is added it became a linear move so I swapped 'linear' to 'ease' but how can I control the amount of ease and have it set to out 30% / in 100%

Probably a simple fix but I've not done it before.

Thanks!

if (numKeys > 1){
t1 = key(1).time;
t2 = key(2).time;
v1 = thisComp.layer("CONTROLS").effect("Position 01")("Slider");
v2 = thisComp.layer("CONTROLS").effect("Position 02")("Slider");
ease(time,t1,t2,v1,v2);
}else
value

Try adding .value after ("Slider"). Might be that easy.

Hi Chris,

the expression ease() method only simulates Easy-easy, which is to say 0 speed at 33% influence, there is no way to change this.

You would need to write your own method, look into cubic-bezier functions…
