Effect center with camera movement

Hi, I'm having trouble figuring this out, I'm using the 'magnify' effect with a camera - normally I would just pickwhip the magnify 'center' linking it to the position of the animated layer (image of magnifying glass). But with the camera (panning left-right) it moves out of position as it's not affected by the camera. I've tried using a toWorld expression but the effect still doesn't account for the camera movement, whether 3D or not, I've also tried linking to a 3D null but again it ignores the camera movement.

So I have...
Camera layer (panning left-right)
Image layer (keyframed)
Solid Layer with effect (effect 'center' linked to image position)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,
cheers,
Tom

Try this:

L = thisComp.layer("Image");
fromComp(L.toComp(L.anchorPoint))
