Firstly, Im a novice when it comes to Extend Script, and my knowledge is very patchy. So excuse me if this is a silly question. Also, what I'm trying to do has no real tangible goal, except to satisfy my curiosity. Feel free to correct me if any of my assumptions are wrong.
Okay, so I'm assuming the data under the "Source Text" attribute of a text layer is stored as JSON data. I'm wondering if its possible to write an expression within the Source Text attribute of one layer that displays the JSON data of a Source Text attribute of another layer as a string.
of coarse if I just write "toString(thisComp.layer("MainText0123").text.sourceText)," it returns "[Object Layer]." I'm just wondering how I can see whats in that object. I thought it might be cool to see how font, font size, string (etc.), is arranged.
