I have this cash register styled counter that is all rigged up with a precomp for each number value and an offset effect to animate each precomp. I'd like to animate this mostly accurately, so I hooked up the .01 (one's place value only) to a slider with a linear expression to animate it from 0-100. That works well, but for the .10 (ten's place value), I'd like it's slider to be able to look at the previous slider and tick over every 10th number instead of slowly animating from 0-1, and so on.
Here's what my setup looks like so far.
And here's the controller
I decided to set it up this way because I need to animate each dollar and cent value individually. The video is showing how electronics and household items can add up to your electric bill over time. So the counter will be counting up the whole time, but then will also increase in spurts at times when the video shows things like a dryer, or an Xbox.
A friend of mine suggested there might be a way to have Cents L look at Cents R using valueAtTime, but that expression is way beyond me.
Also, if you think there's a better way to do this, I'm all ears!
