Using Slider to Scale Text Proportionately
on Jan 25, 2018 at 12:23:17 am

Hello all,

I am working on a project and I want to be able to adjust the scale of text with a slider while constraining the proportion. When I simply attach the slider to scale right now, it locks all the scale variables to equal variables (i.e. 100%, 100%, 100%) - this in turn makes the text oddly proportioned.

What expression can I use to tell the slider to scale the text using constrained proportions? Note, I am working in 3d space.

Thank you in advance.

Solved it by using this code and linking to two sliders, leaving the z axis alone -

x = effect("Text Scale")("Slider");
y = effect("Text Scale")("Slider") - 21;
[x,y]

Note I subtracted 21 to manually input the proportion of text scaling.
